Senior adult ministry provides opportunities for spiritual, physical, mental, and social growth while meeting the needs of seniors in our church and region. Seniors are encouraged not only to be served but to serve the Lord by using their gifts, talents, and abilities. We also seek to reach out to the lost and un-churched mature adults in our community.    

"Moving Forward Together" - Ministry Focus:

• Encourages senior adults to discover their Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personalities, and Experiences.
  Provides life changing meaningful learning experiences through Bible study and transformational discipleship.
  Mobilizes senior adults for ministry.
  Develops ongoing visitation ministry to mature adults including evangelistic and ministry visits.
  Involves our seniors with hands-on mission opportunities.
  Provides community-building experiences that will enrich the fellowship of our mature adults, church family and community.
  Provides support and encouragement through networks/groups for seniors with specific needs.
  Plans to develops a transportation ministry for seniors.
  

• Provides recreation activities that renew, refresh and recreate individuals.
  Promotes the Mature Adult Ministries of SVBC.

Bible Study:

Senior Adult Bible Study meets Thursdays, 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. in Rooms 211-214. Lunch follows for $5 in the Atrium.

Activities:

Choir - "Severns Valley Singing Saints" meet Thursdays, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Adult Choir Room.

Low-impact Aerobics - meets Mondays and Thurdays, 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel.

55 Plus - a social and informational ministry centered on Severns Valley's core value to "encourage meaningful relationships with other believers in order to experience authentic community as the body of Christ." This group is open to the community.
