Vision
Severns Valley Baptist Church is a family of faith, loving Jesus and devoted to sharing His love with all.
Goal
To be an Acts 1:8 church by creating a renewed passion and commitment for ministry at SVBC built upon our core values inspired by the final words of Jesus in Acts 1:8 through connecting with our community (Jerusalem), reaching our state (Judea), touching our continent (Samaria), and impacting our world (ends of the earth)!
Objectives
- Baptized 108 people by December 31, 2008.
- Involve 75% of church leaders in leadership-equipping events by November 2008.
- Enroll 500 people in disciple training by November 2008.
- Enlist 100% of Bible study departments to participate in Faith in Action.
- Increase by 10% the financial support of missions offerings: Eliza Broadus State, Annie Armstrong North American, and Lottie Moon International by January ’09.
- Conduct at least one community, state, national, and international “hands on” missions experience by December 31, 2008.
- Utilize SVBC facilities to support Kentucky Baptist Convention and regional ministry experiences through hosting at least seven state and area-wide events by December 31, 2008.
