Hospital Visitation - A staff minister visits the local hospital weekdays. A deacon visits on Sunday. Out of town hospitals are visited as the need arises. Please call the office when you or a family member is hospitalized.

Bereavement Meals - The church is happy to host families following the memorial service of a church member. Provisions are made through the church’s Meal Ministry, comprised of church members who have offered to provide a dish when called upon. Betty Cofer, Joyce McKinley, Bettie Brown, Mary Thurman and Phyllis Brandenburg are the group leaders who enlist the food providers, and others host the family at the church and minister to them. If you would like to be a part of the meal ministry, call Teresa the church office to add your name to the list of volunteers.

After Office Hours Emergency Calls - A member of the pastoral staff is on-call nights and weekends when there is no one in the church office. If you have an emergency after hours, call the church office at 270-765-7822 and the number of the pastor-on-call will be recorded at the beginning of the voice messaging system. If for any reason you are not able to connect with the pastor-on-call, please call any staff member at home and they will be glad to assist you in any way possible.

Address Changes – Severns Valley Baptist Church is a large and "mobile" congregation. Oftentimes, the church office is unaware of changes of address, changes in marital status, etc. until mail is returned by the post office. Please call the church office regarding relocation and other changes in the status of your family.

Jobs Task Force - Employers who have a vacancy and church members needing employment can list the job or request with Linda Polley in the church office. Information will be passed on in an effort to assist church members who are unemployed, as well as to make employers aware of the need. Locations and names

will not be printed in the Trumpeter, but rather will be shared on an individual basis between
the two groups of people.

Weather Delays or Cancellations – Local radio and television stations will be notified immediately when programs or scheduled activities are to be cancelled or delayed because of inclement weather. When adverse conditions prohibit the staff from being at the facility, an information message
will be recorded on the Voice Mail system.
